Hallowell, Maine - Planet Maine announced today the launch of its new web design and hosting company. The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA - Hosts of the Common Ground Country Fair), the Quimby Family Foundation, the Alliance for a Clean and Healthy Maine, and Dartmouth Properties are some of the clients who have deployed Planet Maine sites.

The company builds custom, cutting-edge websites for nonprofit organizations and businesses. Planet Maine sites can dynamically rotate content like photos, news, and special offers. They can include blogs, podcasts, photo albums, streaming audio and video, an online store, optin email list and newsletter management, and more. The company also offers web-integrated database solutions to help manage everything from member lists to advertising campaigns.

"Our sites are designed to allow any employee to add and edit content to assigned areas of the site," said William Sugg, founder of Planet Maine. "A Planet Maine site is seamlessly integrated with the mission, staff, and membership of the organization," he said. Sugg has worked as a computer specialist for the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the National Zoo, the National Wildlife Federation, and the Maine Environmental Policy Institute.

The company also offers a full range of Internet products, ranging from servers and hosting to blogs, podcasts, and online stores. A five-page website with an email account can be set up for $4.99/month and a 20-item online store that accepts credit cards is only $9.99/month. "Our primary goal is to help Mainers succeed in the new economy. We provide the highest quality and value in the web-based tools they need to compete," said Sugg.
